Ambulance Strike Team (ST) TN • Requirement for 53 • Has 20 STs • Gap of 33 Support States • GA- has 3 STs and multiple ambulance buses • NC- 20-30 ambulancebuses, 30 ambulances, SMAT (no ambulances) • SC- R MAT
Debris Mngt (Rt Clearance) TN • Requirement for 154 • Has (contractor situation) Support States • GA- Has 2 STs
Public Assistance Teams NC • 18 PA personnel • Reserve Corps- 12 people • 6 on staff
Additional Information • NC has 7 state Hazmat teams willing to support with 4 South Co has regional teams plus CST • SAR: NC has Heloaquaticteam (swift water rescue capability) • NC alpine SAR 1 team • GA Hazmat 10 type II available, trained SAR personnel from State Defense Force • SC has NG multi-role bridging company
Additional Clarification/Information • Better definition of deployable Strike Teams from state and local assets (not all teams fit into NIMS definitions)
Issues Pending Resolution • Identifying gaps that can be filled with evacuees and volunteers, including training
