LCIRAH • Overarching question: • How do we achieve sustainable food and agriculture systems which promote health and well being for all people? • Key themes: • Agriculture, poverty and health • Agriculture, diet and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in development • Emerging food borne and zoonotic diseases • Value chain approaches in agri-health research • Innovative metrics for agriculture and health research and evaluation
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES • Bring together researchers currently engaged in agricultural and health to • Identify the main research issues regarding the impacts of agriculture on workers’ health and of workers’ health on agriculture in different contexts • Review the current knowledge (what is known? what has not been investigated? etc.) • Formulate issues & questions for research • Stimulate partnerships / collaboration and information sharing in the future
