  1. What Are The Stages Before Receiving Masonic Past Master Jewel? Freemasonry is a journey in which the members gain knowledge on each and every step. It is true that getting a masonic past master jewel is not an easy task as before this, the people need to go through the same long process that is covered by every other person. It means that the Masonic collar jewel that is worn by every lodge officer is definitely obtained by their diligence and hard work. That’s why; the Past Master is concluded by a single term Worshipful Master. You know that before reaching this stage, the members need to wear different jewels as each officer level requires a different Masonic collar jewel.

  2. Here is the list of different jewels that are worn by the members before attaining Masonic Past Master Jewel:

  3. Stewards’ Jewels: • These are worn by the junior and senior steward and symbolize the cornucopia. They do not only help in adjusting the lodge room, but also assist the new candidates in preparing the degree rituals. • Junior Deacon’s Jewel: • These are used by the Junior Deacon that shows the compass and square with a moon in the middle. They have a responsibility of protecting the door to the lodge. • Senior Deacon’s Jewel: • These are worn by the Senior Deacon, but the difference is that their jewel has a sun in the center. They are the messenger of Worshipful Master.

  4. Junior Warden’s Jewel: • It is used by Junior Warden that signifies the plumb. They have a responsibility of arranging food for the lodge. • Senior Warden’s Jewel: • This jewel is worn by the Senior Warden and they support the Worshipful Master. They also prepare them for the time when they will get control over the Master’s place. • Worshipful Master’s Jewel: • The right angle of a square is the highest post jewel in the lodge. This jewel is a symbol of virtue and the worshipful master gets control over the entire lodge along with its rituals.
