Each member gets a personal ‘dashboard’ page. Teachers see and access only those classes they have been assigned to teach. Students and parents see and access only classes they have been invited to join. The Educational Director can monitor and access the entire school.

System requirements: • Hardware: • Desktop or laptop Computer under 3-5 years old, running either • Windows 7 or newer • Mac OSXLeopard or newer • Internet: • High speed access • Use the most up-to-date Internet browser • Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, or Firefox • Check your browser settings under ‘help’ or ‘about’ to see which version you are running. • Updating your browser is free • To optimize performance: • Adobe reader installed • Flash player installed • (free; links are embedded into our software)
This Invitation Only system uses EMAIL addresses EVERY member of the Online Learning Center— Education Director, Teacher, Student– and Parents if they are invited to separate parent groups-- is recognized and invited using his or her unique EMAIL address. www.behrmanhouse.com
How do you envision your involvement as your child uses the Online Learning Center? • Accompany child into the OLC and oversee its use (esp younger children) • Monitor student use (POS: parent over shoulder!) • Remind and encourage student use • Keep up to date on class activities using student login • Join a parent group (at option of the school; requires separate registration and invitations)
So, what email address should your student use? • Considerations: • Age of student and current access to email • Comfort of parents • Number of siblings in the school/community • Number of siblings in a specific grade or class (twins, triplets) • Do you want to be able to track progress of each student individually? • Will parents be participating in separate groups in the OLC?

So, what email address should your student use? • Options for parents: • Have student use a parent’s address • Have student use an existing student address • Create a student email just for use with the OLC • Any provider is fine; Gmail is easy to use This is the email address that will be used to create a login profile and invite the student into each class.
Once you have decided on the email address your student will use, there is a three step entry process to get into your community’s space in the Online Learning Center: Sign Up to register email address at behrmanhouse.com and provide that address to the educational director Look for invitations from Jewisheducation@behrmanhouse.com in the email account Click the embedded link to join school or class Email registration is ONE TIME ONLY for each member Separate invitations will be sent for each individual class

Things to remember: Every member must use his or her own email to be recognized individually. Every member must first register that email address at behrmanhouse.com. Registration information is ONLY for Online Learning Center business. Email registration is ONE TIME ONLY. Invitations come from JewishEducation@behrmanhouse.com. Members must respond to the invitations by clicking the embedded link. Each member will have his or her OWN profile and dashboard page. Teachers and students will see ONLY classes to which they have been invited. The Educational Director can see, and access, and edit ALL classes and posts.
