  2. Christianity • The world’s largest religion with about 2.2 billion followers. It is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and is 2,000 years old.

  3. Buddhism • Buddhism was started around 2,500 years ago in India. It has about 350 million followers around the world.

  4. Islam • Islam began in the early 600s and is the second largest religion with over 1000 million followers. It is more a way of life than a religion.

  5. Hinduism • Hinduism has around 750 million followers around the world. Hinduism is about 4000 years old and is practiced by more than 80% of India.

  6. Judaism • Judaism is over 3,800 years old and followers are Jewish. There are 12 million Jews and most live in the United States and Israel.
