Past: History • OMSUG Meets OGUG • Mapserver users group (Formed 2003) approaches GRASS users group (Formed 2005) • Concept meeting held at DM Solutions • Both groups merged concepts and resources (July 2006)
Past: Mission The OSGeo Ottawa Chapter exists to : • Provide support for local users of Open Source Geospatial software. • Promote the goals and projects of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation. • Focus on the National Capital Region around Ottawa with • Provide networking, support and educational opportunities to the local members.
