  3. Art Vocab • Line- is a path that has a beginning and an end • What kinds of lines can you think of? • Zig-zag • Swirly • Dotted • Wavy • Horizontal • Vertical • Diagonal • Fat • Thin • Expressionism-A style of art that describes the artist’s emotional experiences.

How do you feel today? • Take a piece of paper and fold it four ways like a window (no pictures allowed) • In the first window express how you feel when you are happy. • In the second window express how you feel when you are sad • In the third window express how you feel when you are angry • In the fourth window express how you feel when you are excited!

What are the five senses? • Taste, Seeing, Hearing, Smelling, and Touching • For our big project we will be creating • 5 paintings expressing the five senses Just like how we expressed ourselves when we listened to the music you will be creating five separate paintings on each of these events: • The smell of a fresh flower. • The taste of a hot pepper! • The sound of a loud thunder! • When you see your best friend. • The touch of something soft and fuzzy.
