  1. I can evaluate poetic literary devices in order to illustrate my understanding. . November 7 and 8, 2012Flex Days

  2. Bell Ringer • You will need your clickers to answer numbers 64-67. • Be sure to grab YOUR clicker!

  3. Review for Poetry Test • You will be divided into teams • One player from each team will stand in front of the board facing the classroom • Once I have read the example, each player will turn and “swat” the correct literary term. • The player to “swat” the term first earns a point for their team. • At the time you are not “swatting”, you should be writing down the correct literary term for the example given.

  4. Test • Be sure to grab your correct clicker!

  5. Finish unfinished work • Once you finish your test, make sure you have finished your essay. • If you are finished with the test and essay, and we are waiting for others to finish test, please read in your book.

  6. Peer Review • Get out your essays • Your essay should be finished, with claim, evidence and commentary highlighted. • Get with your Peer Partner and peer review. • You will be looking for • 5 paragraphs (Intro, 3Body, and Conclusion) • Intro should have a thesis • Claim • Evidence • Commentary
