Poesie on Mutter’s Couch. Sometimes sitting on mum’s couch Admiring your beautiful brown eyes I feel that the words “I love you†just don’t say it all. I keep imagining taking you to Heidelberg and then telling you “Ich liebe dich†surrounded by that magic city.

PoesieonMutter’sCouch Sometimes sitting on mum’s couch Admiring your beautiful brown eyes I feel that the words “I love you” just don’t say it all.
I keep imagining taking you to Heidelberg and then telling you “Ich liebe dich” surrounded by that magic city.
Then I’d take you to Norway and right in the middle of the white snow The words “Elsker deg” would burst out perfectly.
In Paris I’d whisper “Je t’aime”, “a ton oreille”, listening to Piaff in the café at the corner.
In the Venice Cannals the words “Ti amo” would calmly come out from my mouth.
Walking up the narrow streets of Lisbon ”Amo-te” would be the strong powerful words you would hear while listening to be sad sound of Fado.
In Convent Garden I’d buy you a souvenir - a scarf or a hat - and most probably you wouldn’t listen to anything else after that.
Later we’d ride through Scotland and then Wales and these words “ I love you” would echo in every valley.
We’d then ride a white horse along the hot dusty streets of Spain And I’d passionately say to you “Te amo”.
And this mental trip would continue till you’d say impatiently: Hey Bob, enough of this talk of forever love and all those strange words! Get a grip! We’re only sixteen! Get me a coke from the fridge and let me watch the movie! I wouldn’t mind that! What really matters is to be with you and I know this feeling is the same everywhere in every language!!! Luckily for you girl, “coke” is the same in every language, or you wouldn’t watch the movie at all!!
