Goal of the V&C Follow-up Project Identify, document and share the impacts of the V&C Initiative including ascertaining the following information: How faculty and departments have disseminated and used the V&C report. What changes have departments implemented as a result of the V&C report. What changes have faculty implemented as a result of the V&C report. What changes have professional societies implemented as a result of the V&C report.
Project Activities Call for abstracts to determine conference attendees and other projects to be included in an online locator Call for detailed abstract Organizing a working conference Collecting information via surveys Analyzing Google searches & V&C website trends
Working Conference Goals and Objectives This working conference has been designed to understand how change happens in undergraduate biology education. Specific outcomes include: Sharing and helping to disseminate innovative strategies; Identifying shared challenges for continued change; Understanding the role of leadership in undergraduate biology change and how to exert that leadership; and Strengthening and expanding collaborative networks to support future change.
Products of this Vision and Change Project A printed report with information collected from this conference, surveys, and analysis of web searches An online abstract locator that can be used to search for information in detailed abstracts submitted by the biology community. These products will be available on the web site (http://visionandchange.org/)
