  2. Phenomenon • Phenomenon- Many disorders are inherited from parent to offspring.  Some of these disorders are hidden in parents but show up in the offspring. Use the links on my website to research the disease at your lab table.

  3. AGENDA • I can obtain and evaluate information about my genetic disease and communicate the information that I have obtained. • Bellwork • Phenomenon • Research • Questions • Present to the class

  4. TOC- Engage Genetic Probability • Record in your journal: • The name of your disease. • Some information you learned about your disease. • How you think the offspring inherits the disease. • 3 questions that you think of as you research that you would like to know the answer to.

  5. Group Questions • Each person should write down 3 questions they have about your phenomenon- that your disease can show up "randomly" in offspring. • Make a t-chart with your group's poster. Label the 2 sides: • Patterns • Structure and Function • Take turns reading your questions to your group.  • Sort your questions into each category on the chart.

  6. Whole Class Sharing Group Questions-  Tell us about your group's disease andPick the 2 questions your group is curious about most to share.
