  1. You Don’t have to be A Talk Show Host To help with Assembly

  2. Everyone! • Usually everyone comes to this part and helps • When some kids are there and others have not gotten there yet have some activities to keep them busy. Microphones help! Ask children something they learned the day before or what the story was. Let them answer on the microphone. (if they are being quiet and sitting nicely of course) They love it.

  3. Puppet Manners • Is the puppet real??? Pretend it is! • Do you need to go back and see the puppet? Keep kids back from the stage, do not go past the boundaries yourself or they will want to follow.

  4. Watch the show! • Keep your group watching speaker and participating • Youth should sit with their group, not together in the back. • If two kids are talking, sit between them. • If they are playing with a toy, get them to put them away.

  5. What yadoin? • Whatever is on the stage is the most important and interesting thing you have ever seen. • No cell phones, texting, video games, MP3s, or old fashioned note passing and talking. I know youth are always accused of this but I have seen it happen!

  6. Ending • Stay until all kids are gone • Make sure they leave with their parents • While waiting for parents, do not let them run up on the stage or tear up the decorations, or anything else not allowed during the actual bible school time. • If parents are too late, start singing songs again or talking to the kids, keep them busy

  7. Project • Brainstorm a list of activities you can do with the kids while waiting for the assembly to start.
