  2. PURPOSE • Really fun and has f a n t a s t i c teachers • To develop greater understanding of the evolution of global processes and contacts, in interaction with different types of human societies • Course is intended to prepare students to pass the AP World History Placement exam

FACTS • Offers a seminar class • Fulfills credit requirement • Usually one of the first AP classes students will take • Classes tend to be mostly sophomore, however, juniors and seniors are welcome to take the class • This is a class where studying is a must! • Long chapters in a short period amount of time can be difficult to retain information

  4. TIPS • Comparative religion is a good class to take along with AP World History because they go over similar concepts • Learn to budget your time, you will have weekly assignments in addition to monthly text references… do not wait till the last minute! • Read the text—don’t just read to get the assignment done, read it also for understanding • Don’t be afraid to ask questions! They’re super friendly. We promise  • Be prepared for the fast past class—10,000 years of human history…in every continent • Form study groups!
