What’s a 7% water savings worth? 2,500 Hrs/Yr (avg.) x 7% = 175 Hrs (less run time) Assume 50 HP for pump and pivot Cost per HP-Hr = $.07/kilowatt-hr ÷ 1.18 HP-Hr/kilowatt-hr = $.06 / HP-hr $ Savings = $.06/HP-Hr x 50 HP x 175 Hrs = $525 / yr $5,250 over 10 years ($10,500 over 20) What is 5,250 (or 10,500) fewer hours on the pivot & well worth? (drive train, contactors, micro-switches, structure)
