The lungs are the main organ in the Respiratory System. - The respiratory System moves gases in and out of the body.
Words to know: Nasal Passage – as you breath in air through your nose, the air enters here and is warmed and cleaned as it travels to the pharynx. Trachea – windpipe, or the air passage between the throat and lungs. Lungs – organs that remove carbon dioxide from your body and give oxygen to the blood. Bronchial tubes – tubes that carry air from the trachea to the lungs.
Alveoli – the tiny air sacs in the lungs that take oxygen from the air and put it into the blood. Diaphragm – a large dome-shaped muscle that helps you breathe. The Respiratory System – a system that supplies the body with oxygen and removes carbon dioxide.
All you need to know for the Reproductive System is that it produces an offspring. What is an offspring? A baby!
- The kidney is a part of the Excretory System. - Aids in removing waste products from the body. (So does the Circulatory System)
Bladder – the organ that store urine until it leaves the body. Kidney – two bean-shaped organs in the Excretory System that take waste from the blood and produces urine. Urea – a waste that results from the breakdown of body protein. Ureters– two tubes that carry urine filtered from our kidneys to our bladder. Urethra – tube through which urine passes out of the body.
- Aids in removing waste products from the body. (So does the Excretory System.) - If you fall down and hurt your hand and it gets scraped on the pavement, this system responds by transporting white blood cells to the wound. - Transports oxygen to cells.
The Blood Flow A-A-A Arteries Away!!! ARTERIES carry blood AWAY from the heart.
The Blood Flow Veins carry blood to the heart.
