  2. Points to Ponder • What are the challenges facing young men ages 16-18 • Why do young men become less active? • How can we increase the number of prepared young men serving missions?

  3. What can we do? • Call Advisers who have a strong testimony of the Savior, who can spend time with the young men, who will get trained, and will work toward tenure

  4. 4 T’s • Testimony: Call advisers with vision and love • Time: Who can spend time with the young men • Training: Who will learn how to- • Develop a strong quorum by using the Quorum Presidency Meeting • Allow the young men to lead • Foster a spiritual environment • Provide meaningful, fun, Aaronic Priesthood activities, including Venturing • Tenure: Who will build a legacy of leadership and service

  6. Priests Quorums and Venturing crews can provide opportunities for- • Friends • Responsibility • Nurturing in the Gospel

  7. What is venturing? • It was created in 1998 • It’s similar to Exploring, but it has more resources, and is more focused • It’s designed for 16-18 year old young men in the Church • Its the activity program for the priests quorum

  9. Venturing activities support Duty to God, and vice versa The Venturing Oath Begins with Duty to God- “As a Venturer, I promise to do my duty to God and help strengthen America, to help others, and to seek truth, fairness, and adventure in our world.”
