2. Introduction • I would like to just skip this one. • This sin is tearing apart: • Our world • Our nation • Our cities • Our churches • Why do we do such a stupid things as engage in immoral acts?

3. What is Adultery? • Narrow definition – sexual relationship between two people, at least one of whom is married to another • Broader definition – Often adultery and fornication are used interchangeably • God forbids all sexual activity outside of marriage!

4. Four Types of Adultery Physical Adultery • Genesis 2:18 - And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” • Genesis 2:24 - Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

20. What if you Commit Adultery? • You can be forgiven – John 8:11 • Repentance is required – Acts 17:30 • Repentance includes a ceasing of the sin • Decide – change your mind about the sin • Determine – change your attitude • Direction – change your actions

21. Sexual Immorality is Wrong • The command is clear. • The violations of this command are everywhere in our world. • There is hope: • Forgiveness is possible • Correction is available • Consequences are often very difficult
