Love Your Planet MonthR@cycle  Electronic waste As a way to contribute in the proper handling of electronic waste, this Friday, April 8th in EXPO Mujer CAT in the high school gym, CAT will be receiving E-waste  from 9:00am-5:00pm. The E-waste will be collected from CAT and responsibly managed by Glezco Corp. BE PART OF THE CAT EXPRIENCE! GO CAT GO GREEN!  Start recycling your electronic waste now!  The world produces between 20 and 50 million tons of electrical and electronic equipment per year. In Mexico about 150 to 180 thousand tons are disposed every year.

Do you know the damage E-waste causes to the environment? *Harmful chemicals like lead and mercury are released *Pollution of rivers, forests, etc. *Damage to the ozone layer *Greenhouse gas emissions Do you know that E-waste causes to human health? *Rashes *Upset stomachs and ulcers *Respiratory problems *Weakened immune system *Modified genetic material *Lung Cancer and more. Recycling is not optional anymore, it makes a real difference in protecting our environment. Recycling provides jobs.  Let’s fight for our health and the health of our planet, REUSE, REPAIR, REDUCE, RECYCLE!
