Clearer indication of numbering the subsections Ensured consistency of questions by removing the ‘Don’t know’ columns from some questions Changed some wordings ex “thinking of your partner” in the introduction was not found necessary in the Arabic version Corrected some wording such as more than 2 previous partners’ was corrected to ‘more than 1 previous partner Added questions for the interviewer upon completion of interview section (if other people were present during interview) and impression of truthfulness of answers by respondent). Added new instructions such as ‘DO NOT READ OUT THE LIST’. (no capital letters in the Arab questionnaire to differentiate text) Improved GENERIC MODULE

  7. countries agreed to consider married women of 15 years and older to be eligible for such questions on partner violence • non-partner section included other possible perpetrators of violence, such as fiancés and/or boyfriends, particularly for countries planned to administer partner violence questions only to married women • Selection of women per hh needed to include all women aged 15+ regardless of their marital status. Region-specific dimensions

  8. Incorporated questions on economic violence in the regional module. Verified the Arabic translation and fine-tuned, questionnaire formulated a region-specific Arab version of the module in order to measure all indicators.
