  3. Media? Media (plural of Medium) 1. Something through or by which something is accomplished, conveyed or carried on. 2. A substance regarded as the means of transmission of a force or effect. 3. A vehicle (as a radio or television program or a newspaper) used to carry advertising.

  5. How do we make the most of the Media Center?

  6. Rules • Candy, Gum, Drinks • Talking • Chairs • Browsing, putting back books • Misplaced books • Not a hallway

  7. Hours • Before and After School • Open at 7:45 • Close at 3:15 • Lunchtime • Depends on teacher use • Doors locked when 5 minutes of lunch remain.

  8. Fire Drill Procedure • The Library is not a pass through / hallway • During a drill students will evacuate to the east (if possible) and leave the building through the nearest exit. Students are then to proceed to the east fields with their teacher. If it is during lunch, the are to exit the building and meet up with their last teacher (4th or 5th period teacher).

  9. Check-out Procedures • Circulation (Check-out Desk) • ID cards • 2 week check-out • Overdue notices • Fines, unpaid fines • Total books allowed • Periodicals • Reference Books • Photocopies • Check-in
