New PlatformsPhase I • Presentation of LOCREGIS to the new regions Discussions about appropriate work and connecting the LOCREGIS regions and new regions (with the presentation principally 1.7.-30.09.1999) • Implementation of the thematic practical work following the priorities of the new regions (1.10.-31.12.1999) • Planning the new platforms and workshops (1.11.-31.12.1999)

New PlatformsPhase I • Presentation • Presentation of LOCREGIS and main principles of the work • main management principles of LOCREGIS (e.g.: light management structures, grassroots work, win-to-win principle • functions of the database and of its major interests and advantages • Inventing the needs of the new regions

New PlatformsPractical work • Objectives: • making something together (get togehther under the umbrella of local and regional information society) • have results on certain limited sector • basis for the co-operation in the future? • Content: • Do the agreed practical work work based on the needs of the new regions • Transferring the analysis and networking tools • Transferring the evaluation system • Preparation of the workshops

  11. New PlatformsPhase II • Phase 2 includes the following work • Organising tree workshops (one/platform) (1.1.-31.3.2000) • One main event in Brussels invited by the European Commission? • Seminar/Conference in Austria (April 2000) • Aftercare of the platforms (1.3.-30.4.2000)

New PlatformsInternal tasks of LOCREGIS • Collect the experience of the LOCREGIS networking platforms • Develop some recommended principles of the networking platforms • Promote the development of the new platforms in new countries • Qualify the priorities • New features (improving the existing networks) • Report the results

New PlatformsPrinciples of the co-operation • Equality of the regions • Does not imply any legal agreements or payments (except for the April 2000 seminar) • Each new partner is free to withdraw its participation from the project at any time • LOCREGIS will cover the costs of the people coming from the original partner regions (Exception the seminar in April 2000)
