but • is used to show a contradiction between two phrases. He ran but he missed the bus.
She studied hard but could not score well in the test. • The hill was very high but the man could climb it easily.
or • we use ‘or’ when we need to express a choice between two words or phrases. Happy or sad
Would you take a cup of tea or coffee? • Sit on the chair or on the table.
because • we use ‘because’ to show why something happened. The baby cried because he was sick
