Indentation Plan • Indent on blank grid at the same locations as NP1-NP5. • Get indentation curves on blank grid to compare with indentation curves on NPs. • To know how much displacement is needed to generate 2uN indentation load. • On the grid with NPs, search-scan-indent. From NP1 to NP5. • The proposed indent positions are shown on next two slides. Positions may change according to which side of NP is found (scanned). • Indent using displacement control, but target to make 2uN indents. • Scan half of NP6. • If not successful, scan any NP in NPG3 or NPG4.
