  2. ALL ABOUT PASTRIES Pastries have become famous, just like the restaurants and pastry chefs that create them. As a result of their fame, these pastries are drawing long line ups and wait times, looking like fans waiting for concerts or shows.

  3. Cronut A Cronut is a croissant-doughnut pastry invented by New York City pastry chef Dominique Ansel of Dominique Ansel Bakery while working at Fauchon in France. The treat was later brought over to New York City and sold in the Dominique Ansel Bakery.

  4. Cannoli Cannoli are Italian pastries consisting of tube- shaped shells of fried pastry dough, filled with a sweet, creamy filling usually containing ricotta—a staple of Sicilian cuisine. They range in size from 3.5 inches to 7.5 inches. In mainland Italy, they are commonly known as cannoli siciliani.

  5. Tarts A tart is a baked dish consisting of a filling over a pastry base with an open-top not covered with pastry. The pastry is usually shortcrust pastry; the filling may be sweet or savoury, though modern tarts are usually fruit-based, sometimes with custard.

  6. Churros A churro is a fried-dough pastry —predominantly choux—based snack. Churros are traditional in Spain and Portugal, where they originated, as well as in the Philippines and Ibero-America
