  2. Background • Kafirun: لكم دينكم ولي دين • Al Nasr vs Al Masad • Kawthar: no more grief, gift for eyes • Tafsir Quiz • Satisfaction for Rasul Allah before death • First two ayat: external, last ayah: internal • Madani, Makki

  3. إذا جاء نصر الله • إذا: future • جاء: comes after hard work, big deal, huge (saakha, taama) • Allah turns the tides, they come • نصر الله: Big help against oppressor, unique • Kafirun: no need for compromise • Credit goes to who? • Who to thank and how?

  4. والفتح • الفتح: decisive victory without confusion • Hudaiybiya: defeat or victory? • Sahaba were upset • Abnormal behavior: minority to threat • Recognition • Conquest of Makkah: unarmed victory • Domino effect: Feel • As influence of Islam is increasing, Quraish is sinking • Hudaiybiya led to Fath Makkah • Not limited to this Fath but all upcoming in future

  5. Only celebration was praise of Allah and cleaning up His house

  6. ورأيت الناس يدخلون في دين الله أفواجا • Gift from Allah (Kawthar) • Talking to Rasul Allah • الناس: people, villages, tribes • People accepting islam, but eman? • Allah’s mercy for people • Entering and leaving Islam (for wrong reasons) • If Islam enters your heart it will never leave • Otherwise, in doubt?Inherited • Don’t take your deen for granted, get it in your heart

  7. فسبح بحمد ربك • Declare the perfection of your master by doing praise of Him and seek Repentance • The right order: Tasbih, Hamd, then Istighfar • Ibadah: Praise Allah + Acknowledge your mistakes • سبح: swim, keep floating (maintain His perfection) Attributes, Sayings, Actions • How? by doing Hamd • Makkah was purified finally (external), now its time to purify internally • Victory is great, but remembrance of Allah is greater • حمد: Declare gratitude & Praise Allah • Don’t just say it: be a hamid

  8. واستغفره إنه كان توابا • All prophets job is: people & Allah • Now that your tough job with people is done, time to do what you enjoy • What was Rasul Allah’s sin? • Different levels of people
