The Impact of the Economy on Children and Families • STRATEGIES • To proactively address the current challenges posed by the economic climate, Orange County agencies are employing a number of strategies. • The Children and Families Commission of Orange County has redeployed funding targeted for evaluation to increase funding for its Safety Net programs including funds to ensure stable housing and access to health care for young children. • Orange County Social Services Agency (SSA) has increased collaboration with other partners, such as faith-based organizations, to provide services.
