  17. Plant Products • Place in yellow bin • Close lid • Except fruit • Call local MPI Inspector • Fruit fly host

  18. One live insect • Catch if possible • Doggie poo style • Specimen jar / paper • Dead insect • May be alive • Put in specimen jar • Insect egg masses • May be viable • Specimen jar

  19. Many live insects • Infestation • Prevent spread • Stop unloading • Close curtain • Isolate container • Get MPI immediately • Contact MPI

  20. Live Animal • Close curtain • Catch if possible • If gone, watch where it goes • Let MPI know

  21. Snake • Stop, step back • Alert fellow employees • Send somebody to get MPI • In container • Close curtain if safe • Escaped container • Cover drains / entries • Watch where it goes • Create barrier if possible • Throw jacket over it
