The University or Museum you work for is sending you on a all expense paid sabbatical to Egypt. • You will research various areas of Egypt history, geography, and more! • Remember to keep adding to your journal as you travel. Once you complete each mission, you will receive a stamp in your passport.

Introduction to Fashion • The climate in Egypt is hot and humid. • This influenced the fashion and lifestyle. • The sole purpose of fashion was to keep comfortable and cool. • It was made of materials known for their cool feeling. • Jewelry was very common and part of social status structures. • Footwear was uncommon. • Hairstyles were kept short. Young girls wore pigtails and boys shaved their heads. Wigs were common during the time to derive protection from the sun and decoration.
