Systematic Review • Systematic Reviews Areliterature ReviewsThat Summaries, Appraise, Synthesize Results Of various Studies Using Systematic Methods • It is carried out to find the effectiveness of a study and the review helps in identification of effective methods and studies • It is used predominantly in Clinical Trials. Systematic reviewshave become a huge part of Evidence Based Medicine • The review is an aggregation of existing results of the studies, which are pooled via Meta Analysis and compared

Systematic Review • Meta Analysis can be considered a part of Systematic reviews • It deals with the application of statistical principles to conceptually similar studies to arrive at an estimate of a common truth. • The principle is that all conceptually similar studies have a common truth between them. Meta analysis estimates the point of this truth.  • Meta analysis is performed for quantitative studies and forms a part of systematic reviews. Systematic reviews are carried out for both quantitative and qualitative studies. Both form a part of Literature review.
