Welcome to... HOTT Pyramid "Let's go to the winner's circle!"
Instructions • You may want to study health careers before playing this game or let them look at the health career list provided before playing. • You will need to divide your class into 2 teams. You will need to designate one person on each team as the “clue giver.” You will also need to appoint a team captain. The second round someone else can become the clue giver. • The team needs to see the categories on the computer screen but should be covered when the clue giver is giving the clues. You could also write the categories on the board. • Have the team captain discuss with the team which category they would like. • Click on the category to view the question. • The clue giver will then need to look at the computer screen. It is important that the team playing does not view the screen. • The clue giver will click once to receive a word and then gives the clues to the team. The word or form of the word may not be used in the clue. The team is awarded a point for each clue answered correctly. They have 30 seconds per category. • After the first team goes, the second team gets a turn. You will have to keep track of the categories used. The team with the most points after 2 rounds goes to the lightning round. • In the lightning round, the role switches. The clue giver is giving clues trying to get the team to state the categories given on the screen.
For example, if the category was Teacher, the word might be apple. You might say “A fruit, it’s red, it can be dipped in caramel, etc.” Round 1 Give clues for each word. If your team can’t get it, you can pass and come back to it later. You have 30 seconds per category. Good luck!
