  3. Review: GUSTAR *Remember that the verb GUSTAR is not used like other verbs. You don’t conjugate GUSTAR into each form like you normally do with most verbs

  4. STEP 1: First, beginwithfollowing: • A mi me… • A ti te… • A nosotros nos… • A (él, ella, John, Bob) le… • A (ellos, ellas, Uds.) les…

  5. Step 2: • Then, forallforms, add:  Gusta= when talking about only ONE thing  Gustan = When talking about MORE THAN ONE THING

  6. A mi me gusta… • A mi me gustan… • A ti te gusta… • A ti te gustan… • A él, ella, Ud. le gusta… • A él ella, Ud. le gustan… • A nosotros nos gusta… • A nosotros nos gustan… • A ellos, ellas, uds. les gusta… • A ellos, ellas, uds. les gusta…

  7. Examples: I likethecat= A mi me gusta el gato. I likecats= A mi me gustan los gatos. Weliketoread= A nosotrosnosgusta leer.

  8. Verbs Like Gustar: • There are several other verbs that are used in the same way.

  9. Encantar= To love (NOT romantically), To really like • A mi me encantaesquiar. • A mi me encanta la música de Beyonce. • A mi padre le encantan motocicletas.

  10. Fascinar =to fascinate A Bill Gates le fascinanlascomputadoras. A los ratones les fascina el queso.

  11. Molestar =To bother, annoy • A mi me molesta mi hermano. • A nosotrosnosmolestan los mosquitos.

  12. Importar =To be important to / To care about • A mi me importanmisclases y notas. • ¿A titeimportantus amigos?

  13. ¿Dónde está mi lápiz? Faltar =To lack, To need • A mi me falta un lápiz. • A ti te falta una bicicleta.

  14. Interesar =To be interested in A los vegetarianos no les interesa la carne. ¡A nosotrosnosintersa el español!
