  13. You should Whisper to him softly

  14. And call him By loving nicknames

  15. No one’s bothered To ask the bear

  21. Reflection

  22. The poem is about different beliefs, perceptions and point of views of people. What one think is right for something may not be right for others because we have different point of views. Because of this, misunderstanding and disrespect arise. Like in the poem, pioneers and Indians disagree with each other’s opinion on how to treat or react when they see a bear in the woods. I

  23. They both have good opinions. The Indians’ opinion is for the protection of the bear while pioneers’ opinion is for the safety of oneself. We must respect one’s opinion so that other’s will respect us also. It’s just a give and take process. If you don’t respect other’s opinion then don’t expect that they will respect yours. -BONDAD, Joanna Louise I

  24. I I think the bear symbolizes our problems in life. When we have problems, we tend to find ways to vanish it quickly. We forget to contemplate first the possible reason to why that problem is there in the first place - MALAZO, Al Jireh

  25. I I agree on Indians because if you meet a bear in wild life if you didn’t hurt it or make some noise the bear would just pass by. If you make a noise then the bear will consider you a harm and will attack you. - FLORDELIZA, Mark John

  26. Based on my understanding on the poem, The Pioneers and the Indians symbolizes the different opinions or sides of society on a certain subject, which is what the bear symbolizes. Whenever an issue arise, people have a tendency to quickly pass judgement even if the information on which they have based their judgement is lacking both in truth and in details. - LEGASPI, Rae-Ann Philline I

  27. I You must have the courage before first letting go your fears. Problems and fears are part and it isn’t able not to have one. Be brave for whatever you may encounter in life, it will not be easy, but expect the hard and difficult matter as always. Be kind for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. -PIMINTEL, Reynold
