  2. District enrollment: approximately 1,070 students Number of schools: 3 Free/Reduced: All 3 schools are CEP Elementary: 89% Free, 11% Reduced Middle & High: 64.6% Free, 35.40% Reduced Number of serving sites: 1 Participation Breakfast ADP: 829 (78%) Lunch ADP: 756 (71%) School Demographics

Encourage students to eat more fruits & vegetables by participating in FFVP, always have a bowl of fresh fruit at the point of sale, offer salad bar and premade salads, prepare vegetables in a way that they are appealing to the eyes. • Create policies that will create a healthier school environment. • i.e. Recess/Snack Time Food and Drink Policy • During recess and snack time, no outside food or drinks will be allowed other than bottled water, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, and snacks purchased through the school cafeteria that meet the USDA Smart Snacks in School nutrition standards. Grades K-8 receive a fresh fruit/vegetable provided by the Fresh Fruit Vegetable Program (FFVP) grant Monday through Thursday. This policy is to encourage students to consume the snack provided by the FFVP program and to establish healthy snack habits. Student Wellness

  8. Offer healthy snacks a la carte. (water, whole grain items, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc.) USE THE SMART SNACK CALCULATOR & GOOD JUDGEMENT Student Wellness

SCHOOL BASED HEALTH CENTER • Services • Medical – Nurse Practitioner with support staff • Services everyday school day where students are present, with float NP’s and LPN to cover any days necessary • Pediatrics – Pediatrician as needed for complex students • Dental – Dental Hygienist – Clean every child’s teeth twice per year • Lab – Waived Testing Onsite and overnight send off • Psychiatry – Psychiatrist as needed • Behavioral Health – LCSW and Psychologist as needed • Case Managers • 340B Drug Plan – Works with or without insurance to save and average of 60% on prescriptions and up to 80% - local pharmacy participates • Notable Items • No Co-Pay or Deductible for students* • Coordination of Care – work with the PCP to schedule follow-up care with the PCP, specialists, and work with school nurse, councilors, and contracted therapists • Local clinic with digital x-ray, moderate complexity lab, and full dental services • Specialist agreements in place • No cost for School District • Call parent before and after every visit • Sports Physicals • Staff Physicals – Bus Drivers, etc. Student Wellness

Blood pressure cuffs and scales in all the lounges • Quarterly challenges-encourages staff to be a positive role model for students • Water Challenge- ½ your body weight in water daily • Steps Challenge • Blue & You Fitness Challenge • Build-my-tray function on the school website • Encourage staff to participate in local events such as a 5k • Post nutritional information on food items such as tea, vending machines, salad bar Staff Wellness
