Words Have Power • The words of one can have an affect on the whole body. • The bridle in a horses mouth. • Our bridle is the Spirit of God and the teachings of Christ • The rudder on a large boat/ship. • Our rudder is following the golden rule to treat others the way we would want to be treated.

  5. Complete that Sentence • “There is nothing to fear but _____.” • “Ask not what your country can do for you, ________.” • "I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by ________.”

  6. Words. Do they really have THAT much power? • Sticks and stones may break my bones, but “words” will never hurt me. • Really?

  7. A wise old owl lived in an oak
The more he heard, the less he spoke.
The less he spoke, the more he heard,
Why can't we all be like the wise old bird?

  8. Prayer Dear Lord, Help us to use our strongest muscle for good rather than evil. Keep us on the path of righteousness so that we reflect your grace and goodness in all we say and do. Amen.
