Synopsis • This course reviews basic concepts and techniques for developing applications within computer network environment. Emphasis is placed upon the knowledge and skills to develop web-based applications on both client and server side especially in Internet environments. It also includes the design and creation of interactive web sites that provide access to databases. Other topics including Cascading Style Sheets, XML and Web Services are also introduced.
Objectives • Upon completion the course, students are expected to • understand the techniques involve in developing web-based applications. • acquire the knowledge and skill to solve a problem using web base scripts. • understand the communication between web based script and database. • develop and integrated web-based applications with security and additional features of web based.
Learning Outcomes • Upon completion of the course, students will be able to • describe the concept of web applications development . • interpret how web application work. • choose an appropriate script during develop a web based application • differentiate between HTML tag and web based script. • differentiate between Server Side Script and Client Side Script. • apply the SQL query during developing the web based application. • apply server side scripts within HTML to communicate with a web server and database • distinguish between session and cookies during developing web based application. • use web design additional features during developing an application.
