  5. Get Committee Work Done Duties of Committees and Committee Reports

  6. Listen to and respect other’s ideas Business – unfinished and new

  7. Get Business Done Efficiently Making a Motion and Voting

  8. If you’re an officer set a good example Announcements and Adjournment

  9. To have a successful meeting follow these rules • Always start and stop on time • Have and follow an agenda • Always come prepared • Get committee work done prior to the meeting and have a written report to file • Listen to and respect other’s ideas • Do not be afraid to discuss a motion on the floor • Get business done efficiently using motions • Set a good example-officers and members
