RELATED ISSUES • Integrate POF with transit, roads, and non-motorized • Guide ferry-oriented development • Address impacts in ferry terminal communities • Improved technical capabilities (forecasting, travel demand modeling)
WORK TASKS • Synthesis • Issues & Trends • Policy & Reg’l Roles • Demand Forecasts • Travel Demand Modeling • Comparisons • Regional POF Strategy • Landside integration
INITIAL ROUTE SCREENING 32 ROUTES WERE IDENTIFIED BY • Previous planning processes • PAC members • Community members • Market analysis INITIAL ROUTE SCREENING • Prepare Demand Forecasts • Run Travel Demand Model • Daily Ridership Threshold > 200 • Retain all KCFD Routes RESULT: 14 Routes Retained for Further Evaluation
DAILY RIDERSHIP FORECASTS* (2030) * Average Weekday Demand (one way) • Existing Kitsap Transit Foot Ferry operated by Kitsap Transit • Existing POF service operated by King County Ferry District
