What is Firefox? • Firefox is an open source web browser developed by the Mozilla Corporation • Firefox 0.8 debuted in February 2004 • Official 1.0 release November 2004 • Next major release 1.5 November 2005 • Current Version 2.0 release October 2006 • Version 3.0 in Beta • www.getfirefox.com

  5. Tabbed Browsing • One window, multiple web sites • Can be dragged and re-arranged • Behavior can be controlled via Options menu • Right clicks are your friend!

  6. Toolbars • Navigation • Can be customized • Bookmarks • Used for frequently visited sites • Can be embedded in folders • Drag sites there or use “Organize Bookmarks” in the “Bookmarks” Menu • Bookmarklets • Third party: Google, Yahoo, etc.
