  3. Da’ Mayor • Elected to 5 terms as mayor • 1989 – 2011 • Saw Chicago through large development (business and parks) • Over a third of City Council members were appointed by Daley. • 32 members of Council supported Daley 95% of time in early 2000s!

  4. Accomplishments • Millenium Park • Took control of CPS (previously labeled as ‘worst school system in America’) • Business support and privatization of various public interests
