  3. Environmental Issues • Recycling of freezer chest after its lifetime. • Freezer chests contain CFC’s which are ozone-depleting substances • as well as green house gases. • Unit must be properly disposed of by contacting municipal public works • to ensure safe removal of refrigerant.
