Max Grossman Colleges: RBI and Bryant & Straton In high School he was awarded the very prestigious 20 Point Letter Award as well as The Man of the Year Award in 1945.He played shortstop on his high school baseball teams where he was chosen to play in the County All Star Game, and he was recognized as a brilliant glove man.

  13. Max Grossman After graduation he went on to have a wonderful career in softball. In 2000 he was selected as the best all around player in Irondequoit Senior Softball League. In 2005 he was inducted into the Rochester Jewish Athletes Hall of Fame.

  14. Max Grossman In 2006 he was inducted into the Rochester Senior Slow Pitch Hall of Fame. A leader of men he served as commissioner of the Irondequoit Softball League for 1992-1997.

  18. Frank Cady College: St. Bonaventure UniversityHe came to Wellsville in 1962. In his 40 year career he served the district as a teacher, principal, and coach in four different sports.

  19. Frank Cady Best known as a softball coach, his teams compiled a record of 198 wins and 39 losses. Including a New York State record of 58 wins in a row. His softball teams won seven Section V Titles including 5 consecutive titles from 1994-1998.

  20. Frank Cady The Olean Times Herald has honored him by presenting a softball coach each year with the Frank Cady Big 30 Coach of the Year Award. In 2008 he was inducted into theAllegany County Hall of Fame.In 1991 he was chosen as the Wellsville Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year.
