  2. Flights Details: Itinerary Details Kindle your spirit as you enter the lanes of Goa. Get wooed by its charm and merriment environment. Swaying palm trees and sparking water bodies, sandy beaches and alluring Goan cuisine, sensational night life and obscure rejuvenation water sport activities, together has made Goa a place full of glitter and gold. In fact entertainment and Goa goes hand-in-hand. Below is the 5 day itinerary planned for you in South Goa? Have a look! DAY 1 You arrive at Dabolim, international airport in Goa. From airport you will be transferred to your hotel. You will get a traditional Indian welcome. A warm cup of coffee will be served on your arrival. Rest of the day is at leisure.

  3. DAY 2 If you are looking for a stunning sandy beach, warm waters and waves, Palolem Beach, South Goa is the best beach to start your trip with. This beautiful part of Goa, has beach hut accommodation, restaurants/bars along the water and of course the beach itself. The sandy beach is perfect to lay out in and have a cocktail while you relax and look toward the ocean. The water is amazing because it has a pleasantly warm temperature in which you can soak in all day long. Spend at few hours here either relaxing or trying any of the water sports. Catamaran sailing or Hobie cats is not only a relaxed but also a fun-filled sailing activity. Goa's ideal climate with good weather conditions makes it apt for catamaran sailing. Goa Sailing is one of the best outfits in Goa that can organize catamaran sailing trips for you. They are based at Palolem Beach.

  4. For lunch, head to the Dersy Bar and Restaurant. With the multi-cuisine fares, some of the worth-trying dishes are Kingfish fry, the Calamari Butter Garlic and classic Fish Curry. Timings: 8am to 12midnight Cuisines served: GOAN, INDIAN, CHINESE Address: Near St Anne’s Church – Goa, Ph.: 2647503

  5. Of course there are the tourist hotspots and needless to say, they are always teeming with people. There are, nevertheless, must-goes. As you are traveling to Goa, I must say you should not miss visiting some of these places. For a real taste of the colonial times, head over to Old Goa. Nothing beats the golden ages and this place proves it. Starting from Se Cathedral to its many monasteries, cathedrals, monuments, nunneries like the legendary Nunnery of Santa Monica (the only nunnery in Goa, built on the likes of a fortress), Ruins of Church of St. Augustine and the many shrines that pop up at every nook and corner - a backpacker's dream come true. Most of the time will be spend exploring Old Goa and by the time you are back it's going to be late evening. Have dinner before hitting a nightclub. Have dinner at Simrose Restaurant popular for its Fried Pomfret, Frish Curry Rice, Tandoori dishes and freshly prepared streaks. You can also sip in mocktails as you admire the alluring beauty around. Timings: Timings: 9am to 12midnight Cuisines served: GOAN, INDIAN, CHINESE, CONTINENTAL Address: Near St. Anne High School, Near Cemetary – Goa, Ph: 2647259

  6. DAY 3 In the morning after breakfast, head to the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary. It is the second largest sanctuary in Goa. It borders the state of Karnataka and consists of thick forest with animals like deer, panther, bears, wild boars and more. It has several watch towers from where you can view the wildlife.

  7. You will take at least 2-3 hours here. By the time you come, it's going to be afternoon. So have lunch at Fiplee’s. Fiplee is one of the best-known seasonal joints in South Goa. Some of the most recommended dishes here are Chicken Tikka, the Malai Kebab and the Chicken Steak with Mushrooms. Post lunch, take some rest and catch a glimpse of the turtles crawling towards the sea in Galgibaga Beach located in the southernmost corner of Goa. This idyllic beach is used for the conservation of turtles, hence you won't find a single commercial place near the beach. Tourists are also hard to find except for the locals who come here on weekends. The beach is great for just relaxing or swimming.

  8. You can then head to Cabo da Rama Fort, a fort named after God Rama of Hindu Ramayana epic fame. The fort has occupies the mouth of the Sal river for centuries and then came into the possessions of the Portugese. It was then used as a prison centuries ago and now is considered as a tourist attraction. Then visit the Covered Market in the South Goa. The covered market in the centre is one of the largest and most racous markets in Goa.

  9. Have dinner at the Goan Hideout Restaurant & Bar, a brain child of a foreigner couple who had landed once on this sandy beach. Try here the Pepper Steak, the Beef Steak, the Seafood Pasta and the Tiger Prawn dishes to go with the drinks. The restaurant is surrounded with lush green coconut palms and a garden. Location: Near Taj Exotica, Cal Vaddo – Goa

  10. Johnny Cool’s is another great hang out place while you are in South Goa and best place to enjoy the second night. Quite popular for its beers, snacks, feni. The crowd is usually young and the place is gets pretty crowded. Good for chilling out over a couple of drinks, listening to local music and people watching. DAY 4 Start your day with the most popular Colva Beach. This place has an aura of its own. The silvery mackerels can be seen on the sand while taking a walk along the beach. Over here you can get into some activities such as Jet-skiing. In Goa jet-skis will surely provide you an exhilarating experience. The best time to go for this adventure sport is from September to March. Goa is definitely the one stop destination for all things exciting and adventurous. So when it comes to adventure sports like parasailing, you can be rest assured that you are in for one thrilling joy ride. Colva is known mostly for its speed boat rides and jet skiing, but you can still find some decent parasailing operators in the beach.

  11. There are many beach shack restaurants offering delicious seafood along with some vegeterain cuisines as well. In South Goa you'll find Zeebop, a shack on the beach which serves good food but the ambiance is what gets it a full house, then there's the newly opened Skie Grille in Utorda that by far serves the best Tandoor and barbecues, Goa has seen, (head here for the Cocktails too). Post lunch head to Loutolim Village, in Salcette district of South Goa that is located about 26 kms from Colva. Loutolim is easily the prettiest village you will come across in Goa. At first, all you'll see here are picture postcard perfect villas but a closer examination will reveal the mesmerisingly beautiful Portuguese finishing to the architectural style that has been preserved painstakingly over the centuries. Loutolim is also home to

  12. India's first open-air museum cum parkland known as the Big Foot, replete with huge lifelike laterite sculptures on the ground, some as long as 14m, of Hindu Gods, Goddesses and prominent figures in Indian History such as the famed singer Saint Mirabai. Big Foot is easily a half day's affair. Even if you decide to skip it, Loutolim is filled with surprises. Go past the stately Braganza Mansion and Miranda House, a charming old house owned by the famous Goan cartoonist Mario Miranda whose work is open for public viewing. After you are back head for the Agonda Beach. Stroll along the sandy seaside and enjoy the cool breeze sweeping past the sea in the evening. Spend some quiet time over here with your family and then try something different in Goa after two days of seafood. If you are in a mood to bite into that perfect cheezy pizza then this is the place for you. It is an Italian restaurant in Agonda. I was pretty impressed by what I read. Here it goes: DAY 5
