Michael Jordan was born in Wilmington , NC. He went to Laney High School. As a freshmen he got cut off his varsity basketball team. But he kept working hard and he went to UNC university. Charlie “CHOO CHOO” Justice was in war. After war Charlie played football for UNC. That’s when they gave him the nickname CHOO CHOO. They named him that because he ran like a train. Dean Smith Was a legendary coach at the UNC. He coached a lot of good players like James Worthy and Michael Jordan. He won 7 national championships 3 with James Worthy and 2 with Michael Jordan. I think He is the best coach ever. He thought coaching as teaching.
Carolina Panthers is the only NFL football team that North Carolina has ever had. They lost the super bowl in 2004. They lost win they dropped a pass. The panthers is my favorite football team. I love their mascot he is so cool!
Panthers My favorite player was Julius Peppers until he went to the Chicago bears. He is such a trader. Now my favorite player is Steve Smith. The worst part is when Jake Delhome threw all those interceptions last year. One game he threw 4 interceptions. I’m glad he’s not on the team anymore.
Appalachian State in Boone, NC Has always had a great football program. They won the Div. 1 FCS championship 3 times in a row. They won in 2005, 2006, 2007. The Mountaineers lost in the championship in 2008, 2009, 2010. They lost in the semi-finals this year.
Carolina Hurricanes is the only hockey team in the state of North Carolina. They won the World Cup in 2006. “ Last year the season went down hill said hurricanes coach”. “ This year the coach said we are doing a hole lot better.
Garner Road Bulldogs Basketball club is known for giving kids that play AAU basketball college D1 Scholarships to play ball. But there motto is “No Books NO Ball”. I play AAU for the Bulldogs and my coach is Coach Pierre. We are 7 and 0.
