  2. Neither are Christians(bad husband – bad wife) She obeys Gospel(better wife – poor husband) Her example converts him(better husband – better wife)

  3. Wife – (vv. 1-6) • Priority is spiritual • Fears & trusts in God (vv. 2-5) • Shows concern for husband’s soul (vv. 1,2) • Pure (v. 2) • Focus on inward; not outward (vv. 3-6) • A “not - but” passage • See John 6:27

  4. Wife – (vv. 1-6) • Respects Husband • Submits to him (vv. 1, 6) • As her lord (leader) (v. 6) • Is Disciplined • Watches her speech (v. 1) • Watches her example (vv. 1, 2) • Sincere (v. 4) • Gentle & Quiet spirit (v.4)

  5. Wife • Loves children – Titus 2:4 • Home-keeper – Titus 2:5

  6. Husband • Accepts Responsibility • Leads with understanding & respect • Honors wife – 1 Peter 3:7 • Providing for, treating as equal • Unselfish love – Ephesians 5:25,28 • Teaches children – Ephesians 6:4

  7. What Must I Do To Be Saved? • Hear the gospel (Romans 10:17) • Believe Jesus is Christ (Acts 8:37) • Repent of your sins (Luke 13:3) • Confess your faith (Matthew 10:32) • Baptized for remission of sins (Acts 2:38) • Walk by faith in newness of life (Rom. 6:4)
