  2. What are similar figures? • Similar figures have the same shape but are not necessarily the same size.

  3. Corresponding sides are sides that are in the same relative position on two different shapes. • Corresponding angles are angles that are in the same relative position on two different shapes.

  4. Two Figures are similar if…. • The corresponding side lengths are proportional. • The corresponding angles are congruent.

  6. Indirect measurement uses similar figures to find the length, width, or height of objects that are too difficult to measure directly.
