  2. State Symbols • Massachusetts is famous for its state symbols as they all represent something special about our state. Some symbols were chosen by school children from around the state. See if you can guess which ones they chose.

  3. State Muffin The corn muffin was an important food in New England for hundreds of years. Why ?

  4. State Insect Ladybugs are good for your garden because they eat other bugs!

  5. State Beverage Did you know our state grows “one of the largest cranberry crops in theworld.”?

  6. State Dog The Boston Terrier is a great companion and loves to play.. Fetch!!

  7. State Cookie The chocolate chip cookie was recognized as our state cookie in 1997.

  8. State Flower This delicate low-lying plant is known as Mayfloweror ground laurel. Its soft, tiny blossoms are white or bright pink.
