1. SpecialLOF Emphasis From TOCAS LOF Subteam • Action Required! • Line OF Fire Emphasis • “LOF Contributed to OSHA’s” • LOF incidents have accounted for 6 out of 15 OSHA Recordables YTD. At this going rate, we are averaging 2 OSHA Recordables per QUARTER. If we are to keep this trend, we would end up with 8 OSHA Recordables due to LOF Incidents for 2013. Injuries sustained have ranged from Stitches, Fractures, Sprains, Amputations, punctures, and other severe injuries. Injuries that require individuals to suffer pain, days away from work, and mental stress. • As we enter into the last quarter of the year we Have Got Toheighten our awarness around LOF hazards. In the upcoming Months there will be a lot of additional distractions that have the possibility to distract our attention. • A few distractions could include but not limited to: • Holiday/ Vacation (Distractions) • Turnarounds (Fatigue, Work Pressure, Culture Change) • Government Shutdown (Anxiety, Stress, Pressure) • Weather Change (Flu, Allergies, Colds, Environmental Conditions) • Share this with your workgroups during tailgates, communication meetings, at breaks, every chance possible • “Stay Focus on LOF .” An open path… An energy source… A target… DOW RESTRICTED
