Cell membrane. What is a lipid?. What is a lipid? A fat molecule that doesn’t like water (Hydrophobic) ie : water fearing. Cell Membrane. The cell membrane or plasma membrane is made up of a phospholipid bilayer. Phospholipids are lipids with a phosphate group attached to them.
