  1. ARE YOU INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR THE VOCAL MUSIC MAGNET PROGRAM AT NMHS?

  2. VOCAL AUDITIONREQUIREMENTS 1 MUSICAL PIECE: CHOOSE FROM THE FOLLOWING: MUSICAL THEATRE, ARTSONG, SPIRTIUAL, ARIA. SIGHT SING THEORY TEST TONAL MEMORY

  3. What is the AUDITION like? • Students will wing their prepared piece. And accompaniment track is encouraged, but not necessary. • Students will sight-sign from a provided example (4-6 measures) • Students will be asked to repeat back tones played on a neutral syllable (tonal memory) • Students will be given a theory test based on basic musical terminology.

  4. CHECKLIST: • Print and complete the application • Once your application has been submitted you will be contacted by a member of the vocal faculty and given an audition time. • TURN AROUND TIME IS QUICK! After your audition you will be notified with your audition results within TWO WEEKS of audition. • FAME APPLICATIONNEEDS TO BE COMPLETED AND TURNED IN TO MRS. MEEK BY DECEMBER 20TH

The FAME recruitment timeline is as follows: • October: Visit middle schools. • November 19th:FAME informational meeting in the  NMHS Theatre @ 7:00pm • December 20th- All Visual Arts portfolios are due. All portfolios are to be submitted to Ashley Houlihan. • December 20th: All applications due to NMHS. No late applications will be accepted.  Applications should be addressed as follows: • New Manchester High School • Attn: Damien Gaiters/FAME Application  • 4925 Hwy92/166 • Douglasville, GA 30135 • January 13-17: FAME auditions (For performing arts ONLY) • January 21- Acceptance notifications • January 30- Acceptance Receptions @ NMHS
