Using the Replace All Option to Locate and Change Text First, let’s say you’ve received a lengthy contract in which the company ABC Company was mentioned, however the contract should read XYZ Company (Figure A). Instead of manually removing and revising each occurrence, use the Replace All option. Figure A Click Edit, Replace.
Click the Find tab. Enter ABC in the Find what text box. Click the Replace tab. Enter XYZ in the Replace with text box. Click Replace All, then Close when prompted.
Note you will now notice that every occurrence of ABC was replaced with XYZ. (Figure B) Figure B
Using the Replace All Option to Locate and Change Formatting Enter what you would like to find in the Find what text box. Enter the text that you would like to change the formatting of in the Replace with text box. To change the formatting of the Replace with text, click in the Replace with text box and press Ctrl I for Italic, and/or Ctrl B for Bold, Ctrl U for Underline, etc. Click Replace All
Note you will now notice that every occurrence of Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was replaced with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. (Figure C) Figure C
